How to Download the Free Stars and Stripes SVG File
How to Make a 4th of July T-shirt with Your Cricut
The first step is to download the Free Stars and Stripes SVG file. If you fill out the form above you’ll get access to the file. Then unzip the file. If you have a Windows 11 computer you just have to right-click on the file. Then click unzip. After that upload it into Cricut Design space.
Before you do any cutting I recommend sizing the file to fit your t-shirt blank. Feel free to delete any design elements from the file that you want. If you want to delete some of the stars feel free. Feel free to change the colors of the file as well.
Then hit Make it. I have a Cricut Explore Air 2. So I use the dial on the machine to change the material settings. Adjust the settings on your machine to cut the HTV properly.
The number one thing to remember with HTV is to make sure mirror is turned on! You can’t make your T-shirt if you don’t do this step.
Once your settings are correct then go ahead and cut the HTV. Then weed the excess vinyl. Make sure your vinyl is where you want it to be on your shirt.
Once you’ve done that you can use either an easy press or a heat press to press it to your shirt. The settings will depend on what type of vinyl you used and what material of the shirt.
Now you’re done!
